CERTIFICATION
Certification
HOW IT WORKS
Certification is arranged per order
KESU does not pre-certify its full range. Certification is arranged to the destination market and to the requirements of the specific order, and confirmed together with the quotation.
Why we do it this way
The mandatory requirements differ by market, and pre-certifying all 100 models would put the cost of every certificate into the unit price you pay — including the ones you do not need. Arranging certification per order keeps what you pay tied to what your market actually requires.
COMMON REQUIREMENTS
What importers most often ask for on cordless power tools
| Market or question | What is usually required |
|---|---|
| European Union | CE marking against the directives that apply to the product — typically low voltage, electromagnetic compatibility and restriction of hazardous substances. |
| United Kingdom | UKCA marking for the post-Brexit UK market. |
| Germany and Central European retail | GS, a voluntary third-party certification that large retailers commonly require even where it is not mandatory. |
| Lithium battery transport | UN38.3 test documentation and a material safety data sheet for shipping battery packs. |
| Material compliance questions | RoHS and REACH declarations, usually requested by the buyer or their customs broker. |
The applicable requirement always depends on the destination market and on what your buyer has specified.
HOW TO START
Three steps to a certified order
- 1
Send the destination market
Tell us where the goods are going, and any requirement your buyer has already stated.
- 2
We confirm the applicable requirement
We come back with the testing scope that market needs for that model — and say if something is not achievable, before you commit.
- 3
It goes into the quotation
The testing, the documents and the lead time are listed with the price, so certification is costed in from the start rather than added later.
CERTIFICATION FAQ
Questions buyers ask about certification
Short, factual answers. Each one is written to stand on its own, without the surrounding page.
Are KESU tools CE certified as standard?
No. KESU does not pre-certify its full range. Certification is arranged to the destination market and to the requirements of the specific order, and confirmed together with the quotation.
Can you supply a model with the certification my market requires?
Yes. Tell us the destination market and what your buyer requires, and we confirm the applicable testing and documents in the quotation for that order.
Why don't you certify every model in advance?
Because mandatory requirements differ by market, and pre-certifying all 100 models would add the cost of every certificate to the unit price you pay — including the ones you do not need. Arranging certification per order keeps what you pay tied to what your market actually requires.
Which certifications do importers most often ask for?
For cordless power tools the usual requests are CE for the European Union, UKCA for the United Kingdom, GS for German and Central European retail, and UN38.3 test documentation for lithium battery transport. RoHS and REACH come up as material-compliance questions. The binding requirement always depends on your market and your buyer.
What do you need from me to confirm certification?
Two things: the destination market, and any specific requirement your buyer has stated. With those we confirm the testing scope, the documents and the lead time in the quotation.
Does the quotation include the certification cost?
The testing scope, documents and lead time are confirmed with the quotation, so certification is costed in from the start rather than added to the order afterwards.
Tell us your market, we'll confirm the requirement.
Send the destination country and any certification your buyer has specified — we come back with the testing scope and lead time.
